Based in Luxembourg, Probus Pleion Luxembourg S.A. forms part of Swiss multinational and multidisciplinary group Probus Pleion.

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Chief Compliance Officer (CCO). Reporting to the Management and the Board of Directors, you will oversee and manage compliance issues within the company, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.

This critical role upholds the integrity and ethical standards of the organisation. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position within the financial services sector, demonstrating a robust understanding of CSSF regulations. This role demands excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, as well as the ability to work alone and independently.

Additionally, the CCO will utilise specialised compliance software for monitoring purposes, making IT proficiency essential.

 

Key responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure the company’s compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including CSSF guidelines.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain compliance policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of controls and procedures to mitigate compliance risks.

 

Risk Management

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks.
  • Conduct regular compliance risk assessments and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure compliance risks are managed effectively.

 

Training and Communication

  • Develop and deliver compliance training programs for employees.
  • Communicate compliance policies and updates to the company.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff on compliance-related matters.

 

Monitoring and Reporting

  • Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and present compliance reports to the senior management and the board.
  • Maintain records of compliance activities and investigations.

 

Advisory Role

  • Advise management on new and emerging compliance issues.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and ensure the company adapts to these changes.
  • Act as the point of contact for regulatory authorities and external auditors.

 

Documentation and Record-Keeping

  • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of all compliance-related activities.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all compliance training, audits, and investigations.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a compliance role within the financial services industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of CSSF regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and compliance management software.
  • Fluency in English and French; Luxembourgish or Portuguese is a plus.
